The people behind the shelf

Founded in Bengaluru,
for readers everywhere.

Why Kkoob exists

Kkoob started because the books we wanted to hand our children didn’t exist. The mythology our families grew up with was either locked in dense scripture or flattened into cartoons. Nothing sat in the middle — faithful to the source, gentle enough for a three-year-old, and beautiful enough to read aloud before bed.

So we made them. Then we kept going: the tales most collections leave out, bilingual editions for families between two languages, and large-print books for the people who looked after us when we were the ones being read to.

Every title on this shelf is published by us — written, illustrated, printed and shipped from Bengaluru. We don’t carry books we haven’t read. We don’t list books to fill a grid. If it’s here, someone in this room would put it in a child’s hands or a grandparent’s lap without hesitation.

Sanket Anil Joshi

Founder & Publisher

Writer, publisher, and the person who packs your order. Sanket runs Kkoob and its two imprints — Katha Rahasya Kids for mythology picture books and Living Epics Press for the longer tales — from Bengaluru, India.

He also runs Katha Rahasya, a Hindi mythology YouTube channel that tells the stories behind these books in AI-cinematic short films.

Two imprints

Katha Rahasya Kids

Mythology picture books for ages 3–5 and 6–10. The Little Gods series, the Untold Tales, and bilingual Hindi–English editions.

Living Epics Press

Longer mythology fiction for older readers — the stories that don’t fit a picture book but deserve more than a footnote.
